Congratulations to your achievements
August 15, 2013 was a happy for me and many of you. Soke Cup was ended with great success. It was also the day that Jasmine Roberts and Mia So received their results from their black belt grading tests. Soke Sensei, our head instructor of Chito Ryu Karate, announced that Jasmine and Mia are now Shodan (Black Belt First Degree). Congratulation!!
Their skills and techniques were inspected by 3 senior Sensei (Japanese for karate teacher). They were Soke Sensei (10th degree), Kugizaki Sensei (9th degree) and Taneda Sensei (7th degree). Our girls had a very special grading test.
For the competitors, they have also learned a lot from the competition. No matter winning or losing the match, they were all winners of friendship and experience from Soke Cup. I like to thank all the competitors who training very hard for Soke Cup. We had students training everyday in July and August before Soke Cup. I like to see your hard work being continued.

We have got 4 gold and 2 silver medals. The next Soke Cup will probably be in Japan. We can start prepare now if you plan on winning. See you in September.

Thank you for your contribution to Soke Cup 2013
Dear Parents and Students,
August 2013 is a very remarkable month for me, Hong Kong Chito Ryu and many of you. We have hosted an international karate championship in Hong Kong for the first time. I have never hosted big event like this. Luckily, with the support from many of you, it went successfully. Many guests left with plenty of happy memories and smiles.
It was very kind of you to attend the opening ceremony. I like to thank you for the participation. As you can see, we had many overseas guests who traveled a long way to Soke Cup. We have Canadian flown 24 hours to Hong Kong for this competition. There was a family of six - mum, daddy and 4 kids flew all the way from western Canada to Hong Kong for the event. There was even a pregnant mother with her toddler from Canada. Your support to Soke Cup really made their long flights worth it.
I look forward to seeing you again September for another term of karate work out. See you soon.
