Karate Sparring Competition on Jan 20, 2019

Dear Parents,

It is my pleasure to announce the hosting of karate sparring competition.  Please find details below:

Date: Jan 20, 2019, Sunday.  
Time: 1:00 to 6:00 pm
Location: Gym, South Island School, 50 Nam Fung Road, Hong Kong (Google Map)

Besides our students, I am also inviting a few affiliated clubs to send in their students to participate in this event.

It is a non contact sparring competition.  Competitors will be wearing helmets, sparring gloves, chest protectors and foot pads.  Rules and regulations are based on World Karate Federation competition rule book.  Referees are qualified by Hong Kong Karate Federation.  Competition categories are as follows:

6&7 years old boys (junior)
8&9 years old boys (junior)
10&11 years old boys (junior)
12&13 years old boys (junior)
8&9 years old boys (senior)
10&11 years old boys (senior)
12&13 years old boys (senior)

6&7 years old girls (junior)
8&9 years old girls (junior)
10&11 years old girls (junior)
12&13 years old girls (junior)
8&9 years old girls (senior)
10&11 years old girls (senior)
12&13 years old girls (senior)

1. Competition registration fee
2. Grading fee for Dec 9, 2018

4. Foot Pads
5. Additional Sunday trainings at 2:00 to 5:00 on Oct 25, Nov 11, Nov 25 in Stanley Sports Center
6. Souvenir for the competition (Newly added)
7. Achievement Certificate (Newly added)

Results for Sep 30, 2018 Grading Test

Thank you for attending the grading test on Sep 30, 2018, Sunday.  I know it was not a perfect location but I really appreciate your attendance.  This is the first time I use a score form to evaluate students' techniques and overall performance.  I believe this will help students understand what areas they are good at and what areas they need more work on.
